Egan, Flanagan and Cohen, P.C. is proud to announce that firm partner and litigation attorney, John J. Egan, Esq., was inducted into Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s second annual Hall of Fame class.
A reception to honor the occasion was held on September 17, 2024, along with an awards program, at the Venezia Restaurant in Boston, Mass. Honorees were recognized for their career accomplishments, contributions to the bar and development of the law in Massachusetts, and efforts to improve the quality of justice in the commonwealth.
The selection process was limited and highly selective. Lawyers with less than 30 years of contributions, for example, were not considered. Jack Egan was notably the only honoree from the western region of the Commonwealth selected this year.
As pictured above, several members of the firm and friends of Egan’s traveled to Boston to attend the event, including (front row, left to right) Thomas E. Day, Esq., Katherine A. Day, Esq., Hon. Edward J. McDonough Jr., Theodore C. Brown, Esq., and (back row, left to right) Kevin D. Withers, Esq., Michael G. McDonough, Esq., Egan, Mary E. Boland, Esq., Anthony McGuinness, Esq., and Rosemary Brown.
Egan is widely considered one of the top trial attorneys in the region, if not the Commonwealth. His selection to the Hall of Fame was based upon excellence in the courtroom and the community. In addition to excellence in the law and community service, Egan and his wife Patty are the parents of four, and they regularly spend their free time visiting with their grandchildren and family.
