On Monday, May 6, 2024, five attorneys from Egan, Flanagan and Cohen, P.C. cleared their calendars to attend and sponsor the YWCA of Western Massachusetts’s golf tournament fundraiser at the Springfield Country Club.

The firm served as a Bronze Sponsor of the day-long event, which featured a scramble golf format along with various fundraising activities, raffles, and a dinner honoring the YWCA’s remarkable achievements and community service initiatives in Western Massachusetts.

The YWCA of Western Massachusetts has been in existence for over 150 years.  It is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all, and it is well-known in the local community for its positive impact in these areas.

Representing Egan, Flanagan and Cohen at the tournament were Michael G. McDonough, Esq.; Lauren F. Olanoff, Esq.; Kevin D. Withers, Esq.; Timothy J. Ryan, Esq.; Richard J. Kos, Esq.; and, and Richard’s wife, Gina Kos.

The YWCA is led by Executive Director Liz Dineen. Prior to her work in non-profits, Dineen was an advocate for victims for many years as a prosecutor at the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office.  With her teammates at the YWCA, Dineen continues this same pursuit of justice and support for survivors.

Through events like this tournament, the YWCA raises crucial funds to provide affordable housing, racial justice programs, support for survivors of domestic violence, youth leadership development, job training, and much more.
