Egan, Flanagan & Cohen is expanding, seeks to hire new Paralegal and Administrative Assistant

Egan, Flanagan & Cohen is seeking two new employees to join our team: a Litigation Paralegal and an Administrative Support person.  Each position is important and will help us expand our ability to serve our clients and grow our practice.

The first opening is a paralegal position in our litigation department.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join and support our fast-paced litigation team.

Responsibilities for the paralegal opening will include supporting litigation attorneys, maintaining positive communications with clients, drafting documents, coordinating filings and trial preparation.  Candidates should have excellent organizational and communication skills, be detail-oriented and possess the ability to work independently with a high level of professionalism.

The second opening is for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and energetic Administrative Support employee for a part-time position involving word processing, time entry, filing, copying, tape transcription, reception, phone coverage, and some messenger work.  The position is for a five-day work week totaling 19.50 hours; anticipated hours are approximately 9:00 – 1:00 Monday through Thursday and 9:30 – 1:00 Friday.  Previous experience in a law firm is strongly preferred.  Applicant must be knowledgeable using Microsoft Word and Outlook.  Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred but not required.

Applicants for the Administrative Support position must have excellent typing skills, the ability to multi-task and work with many different people, a reliable car, and a positive attitude and willingness to handle a variety of different assignments on a daily basis.  Specific physical requirements of the job include occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds and walking up to a mile.

For each position, Spanish speaking is desirable but not required.  Qualified applicants should inquire by emailing a resume to Zelia Goncalves at zmg@efclaw.com.
