Kate has practiced law in Massachusetts for the past fourteen years. She is a 1996 magna cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School, a 1993 graduate of Princeton University, and a member of the Class of 1989 from Longmeadow High School. After practicing in large firms in Boston and Hartford for the first decade of her career, Kate joined Egan, Flanagan and Cohen in 2006.
She specializes in employment litigation, including discrimination claims, contract disputes, wage act claims, harassment claims and non-competition agreements. She also provides a wide variety of counseling to employers, including handbooks and personnel policies, internal investigations, responding to governmental audits, making discipline and termination decisions, and negotiating employment and severance agreements. Among her distinctions, Kate has been repeatedly recognized as a Massachusetts Rising Star in the areas of labor & employment and employment litigation, and she was one of Business West’s Inaugural “Forty Under 40” award recipients; 2011 New England Rising Star.
Kate has two young children, Allie and Luke. They reside in Longmeadow where she is active in their schools and in their Church.
